How to use a medical device
Apap Thermal Plaster heats up the skin gradually to reach the maximum temperature after 30 minutes. The product may be a supplement to the treatment for people who suffer from chronic back, muscle and joint pain and regularly use painkillers.
Open the sachet by breaking it along the incision line (do not cut it). Remove the protective film from the back of the warming patch and stick to dry and clean skin in a sore spot. The warming patch heats up gradually, reaching its maximum temperature after about 30 minutes. The warming patch is activated by contact with air - do not open the sachet until you are ready to use the patch.
Contraindications and precautions
PRECAUTIONS: THE IMPROPER USE OF PLASTERS CAN EVEN BURN AT LOW TEMPERATURE. Follow the instructions and observe the patch often. TO PREVENT BURN RISK: Allow air to flow over the warming patch and do not apply pressure, for example, by laying or sitting on the patch, or by applying adjacent clothing to the warming patch. If the warming patch becomes uncomfortably hot or a rash appears, discontinue use immediately. Stop using the patches and consult a doctor if after 7 days the pain worsens or does not change, as this may be a sign of a more serious illness. The warming patch should be used under careful supervision when used by people who are unable to remove the patch themselves, such as the elderly or people with disabilities. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using the product in the following cases: circulatory disorders or heart disease, diabetes, nerve damage or sensory disturbance, skin diseases, rheumatoid arthritis, pregnancy. DO NOT: Use the warming patch for children up to 12 years old. Use a warming patch when sleeping. Use for more than 8 hours within 24 hours. Apply the warming patch to the area where there is redness or inflammation, and to damaged / bruised or irritated skin. Apply to areas of the body that do not feel hot. Apply the warming patch together with other creams, rubs or lotions to the skin and with other heat sources or near them. Use in bedridden patients who are prone to skin ulcers. Burn the warming patch. Crush the warming patch - within a few minutes heat is released. Cut or break the warming patch. Put in the microwave or try to reheat the warming patch again. Soak the warming patch in water or other liquids. NOTE: The patch is for single use only. For external use only. After removing the patch, there may be a slight redness in the skin. If skin redness persists after a few hours, stop using the warming patches until the redness has completely disappeared. The ingredients of the warming patch may be harmful if swallowed or in contact with the skin or eyes. If swallowed, rinse mouth with water. If skin or eye contact occurs, flush immediately with water. In both cases, ask your doctor for advice.
