Icelandic Cough Syrup, like many other cough syrups, is generally intended to alleviate the symptoms of cough, including dry or wet cough. It can help soothe throat irritation and reduce the intensity of coughing.
However, if you have a severe cough, especially if it is accompanied by other serious symptoms such as difficulty breathing, fever, chest pain, or persistent cough, it's always advisable to consult a doctor. Severe cough can be a symptom of various conditions, including respiratory infections, bronchitis, or other health issues that require professional assessment and treatment. Your doctor can recommend appropriate therapy or medications that may be more effective in treating severe cough, depending on the cause. Some cases of severe cough may require more intensive medical care.
